| Production Designer Art Director Art Department Costume Designer Theatre Designer Scenic Artist Prop Maker Set Construction Costumer Maker Model Maker Choreographer Composer Originally from Edinburgh, Anna’s background in music, dance and theatre includes training with The Scottish Ballet junior associates, Youth Ballet of Scotland and Yehudi Menuhin School of Music. She studied Design for Shakespeare at RADA and after studying Fine Art she moved on to graduate with a 1st class honours degree in Theatre Design at Nottingham Trent University. Anna has been freelancing ever since and broke into film at the beginning of 2007 as costume assistant on the feature film Rise of the Footsoldier by bafta nominated director Julian Gilbey. She has recently Art Directed Elephants and Madrugada (NFTS graduate films) and has just returned from filming Apostrophe in France in her debut role of Production Designer. Anna is currently working on several films in varying roles including costume designer for a celtic fantasy featre film! Theatre wise Anna has recently designed Painkilelrs for Fifth Word Theatre Company which toured early spring and will also be at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2007 in the Underbelly. Anna also designed The Iron Man for New Perspectives Theatre Company which toured Autumn 2006 - Spring 2007. Previous work for New Perspectives includes: Saturday Night and Sunday Morning (designer); The Evidence (design assistant) and Blooded (video designer). Other work includes: Grey Matter (NTU - choreographer, designer and dancer); The Canterbury Tales (Dukes Theatre Lancaster - costume and props construction) and The Tempest (Northampton High School - costume design and construction). Design projects whilst training include: The Rake’s Progress, Mary Queen of Scots, The Road to Mecca, The Good Person of Szechuan, A Taste of Honey and Anthony and Cleopatra. |
